vacay at the sls Bahamar

Everything you need to know about the SLS BahaMar: my stay, where to eat and things to do!

SLS BahaMar

SLS is an acronym for "style, luxury and service," and the SLS BahaMar definitely showcases that. The bright pink SLS BahaMar tower features stunning ocean views and absolutely beautiful modern decor. The rooms were large, modern and sleek. Suites at SLS also feature a large kitchen area and a washer/dryer. In the lobby, colorful art and high ceilings give guests a beautiful space to hang out or have a drink before dinner.

Guests have access to all pools, but also to two pools dedicated only to SLS guests which feature dj-hosted weekend pool parties. Walking straight through the lobby, you're presented with a beautiful staircase that leads to the Bungalow Pool with striped cabanas and beautiful palm trees. The Privilege Pool is a short walk from the Bungalow Pool and has sleek cabanas, poolside seating and a bar serving signature cocktails.

The beautiful white sand beach is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful, clear blue water. And after a long day in the sun, you can go to BahaMar's nightclub, Bond or take it easy with drinks at the Skybar rooftop lounge. Or enjoy BahaMar's beautiful casino!

Where to Eat

BahaMar has over 30 restaurants so you're bound to find something you love! I will be sharing a few of my favorites below.

Fi'lia

An Italian restaurant featuring handmade pastas, breads and pizzas. I recommend sitting outside for an even more beautiful setting.

Costa

A Mexican restaurant in open-air cabanas with views of Rosewood's gardens and pools.

Carna

A steakhouse with excellent service and food.

The Palms

This poolside restaurant was a perfect lunch spot with delicious burgers and waffle fries.

What to Do

Exuma Escape

The SLS BahaMar concierge was amazing at getting us booked on this amazing day trip. We used the company Island Treasure Hunt Bahamas for our trip to Exuma. The day starts out getting on a plane and taking a short 20 minute flight to the island. Exuma was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! With it's crystal clear water, white sand beaches and beautiful surrounding islands, it's definitely a must see! The tour consisted of visiting the swimming pigs, swimming with nurse sharks, feeding the iguanas and resting at the gorgeous sandbanks. I highly recommend going to Exuma if you are visiting The Bahamas, it was a once in a lifetime experience!

BahaMar Private Island

BahaMar offers a complimentary boat ride that leaves from the pier every hour to the nearby Barmoral Island, a beautiful private island.

I can't wait to go back to the SLS BahaMar and hope I will be returning soon!

Thank you for reading!
