The best way to see Milan in one day

Updated: Jan 10, 2019

From shopping to sightseeing, Milan has it all.

With only one day in Milan and so much to do, you may ask: how do you spend one day in Milan? With so many places to explore, it may be hard. But the good news is, you can definitely do it! It will be just the right amount of time to see Milan's most famous sights, eat some delicious Italian cuisine and most importantly, shop!

One Day in Milan Travel Guide

Duomo di Milano

Grab a cappuccino and walk your way over to the third-largest Gothic cathedral in the world. Colorful stained glass, ornate stoned pillars and intricate statues adorn the breathtaking cathedral. Watch out for the many pigeons and try getting here in the morning to avoid crowds!

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II

The beautiful glass- roofed Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is right next to the Duomo. Filled with lots of shops and restaurants, it's the perfect spot to shop or stop for a bite to eat. Make your way to the original Prada store which Mario Prada first opened in 1913. It also has a selection of historic Prada products which you can only find there. Definitely the perfect place for all fashionistas!

Milan's Fashion Quarter

It's the heart of shopping and so much more. Milan's fashion quarter is surrounded by four streets: Via Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga, Via Manzoni and Corso Venezia. The list of brands and shops are endless and of course the best of Italian style. From Prada to Gucci to Salvatore Ferragamo, the streets breath fashion, style and luxury.

Piz Milano

One of the best pizzas I've had to date, Piz Milano is the place to go for some authentic Italian pizza. This restaurant does get crowded but it is fully worth the wait. Greeted with a glass of prosecco and a delicious appetizer, this super fun, little spot is the greatest place for some Italian pizza!
